First Day

This was my first full day in my new city!  The past few months have been so crazy and hectic (although also very wonderful), but it was amazing to finally have a chill day.  I thought I was going to sleep in, but the puppies had other plans in mind.  Luckily I was able to go back to sleep after their 6:30am breakfast and bathroom break.

My four-legged new roomies:

Polar
Echo
So, even though I was planning on doing nothing all day, that got boring after a little while so I got gas, went to the bank, drove around town a little to familiarize myself, went to the grocery store, looked for jobs online and applied for several, finally got in touch with a possible good job contact (fingers crossed) and I took Echo for a walk.  Relaxing, huh?  I think Echo probably thought it was the lamest walk ever because there was no way I could keep up with him.  There was no question about who was walking who.

Also on my walk I met the nice old man gardener for the house across the street.  We chit-chatted a bit and then he started to play match-maker.  Apparently he is working on some sort of book project with a young man I might be interested in; 6'7", works as a hospital administrator, and has degrees in history and business.  The gardener said he would let the guy know there was "a new girl in town".  Hahahaha, too funny!

No plans yet for tomorrow, maybe I'll actually head down into the city and do some exploring!

  1. Hehehe, I know! I told the gardner (somewhat jokingly) to go ahead and make the introduction, but I also didn't give him my information or anything. I guess we'll see if I run into him again.
