Yawn

Even driving on the highway is beautiful
Just another day in the breathtakingly beautiful Pacific Northwest!  I'm starting to get a little bored with all these serene parks, vividly green forests, and striking ocean and ski views.  Just kidding!!!  I'm loving every minute of it :)  Yesterday, was supposed to be a relatively rain-free day so I headed down to Discovery Park; the largest park in Seattle.  As per usual I just decided to wander around to see what I could see.  Even though it's winter, everything is still green with moss and lichen.
Since it was the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday, I pretty much had the park to myself.  At least that way, no one saw me looking like a drowned rat after getting caught in an unexpected rain shower.  Luckily the rain cleared quickly and after tromping through some serious mud I made my way to the shore.  All I can say is "Wow"!

Driving home from the park, I got in touch with Katrina, the daughter of some one at Barnaby's work.  I had been teasing him about setting me up with some nice boys from his work, when he suggested that I hang out with Katrina instead.  He said she was about my age and had a big group of friends that seemed like a lot of fun.  When we talked she really was super sweet and invited me to hang out right away.  So we went out last night with a few of her friends for dinner and then saw Just Go With It.  The movie was cute and funny, but it was also really nice to get out and meet a cool group of people.  Katrina kept introducing me as her Dad's boss's niece though, so hopefully she wasn't just hanging out with me cause I was related to "the boss".  Hmmmm... I still miss all my VA folks so much though!!!  I wish I could've just moved you guys out here with me.
