Lately

Lately I've been trying to live it up a little, knowing that soon I will have to returning to the world of the working.  One of my favorite things to do is start out at my front door, pick a direction, and walk.  There are just so many amazing things to see right outside my doorstep.  Sometimes I actually get so sucked in to the scenery I forget that however far I walk... I have to walk that same amount to get back home.  Last weekend I stayed out too long and the weather completely turned on me.  It went from sunny and warm to cold and rainy, so my walk home was less than pleasant.

On Thursday, I went to my second meetup event.  Instead of the "New In Town" group this was the "Besties!" group.  I know, I know... the name is a bit ridiculous, but we actually all joked about it.  We did a happy hour at the Melting Pot and amazingly all the girls seemed really cool and smart and normal!  Even though I can never replace my wonderful Richmond ladies, I'm hoping to attend a lot more events with that group.

So, it's been over 3 months since my last day of work and I've pretty much just been hanging out and playing, but since I'm about to return to the real world I decided I needed a vacation from my vacation :)  I planned a little trip to Victoria, BC next Monday and Tuesday so I'm really excited to see the city and use my fancy new enhanced drivers license.
